NIAB RECOMMENDED GRASS & CLOVER LISTS
It has recently been announced that funding has been secured for the NIAB Recommended Lists for Grass and Clover varieties for England and Wales for at least the next 3 years. This is excellent news as at one stage the very future of this source of independent variety data was in real jeopardy.
As a result of the extra funding (supplied by DairyCo and EBLEX for three years and support from the NFU in 2009-2010) the new booklet for 2009 has just been published and copies are available for immediate distribution.
This 28-page booklet incorporates some very useful technical articles – such as a detailed list of advantages associated with a re-seeding operation and a very informative piece on selecting the right species of grass and clover for specific circumstances.
Naturally, the main part of the booklet features the various Recommended Lists with heading dates for each variety and data relating to yields and D-values under simulated grazing and conservation management systems.
If you would like a copy of this booklet then e-mail us using the following address; info@limagrain.co.uk and write “NIAB Recommended Grass & Clover Lists 2009” in the subject box. Please make sure that you supply your full postal address (including the postcode) within the e-mail and we will ensure that you receive a copy within a day or so.
