We do appreciate that livestock farmers will have different requirements when it comes to grass leys so the Monarch range is split into three distinct categories. The High Performance range features leys which have been designed for farmers who aim to maximise their output from grass by providing a top class management strategy. We also have a Flexibility category and the leys here have been designed to deliver a sound performance with, as the name suggests, more flexibility in relation to inputs and management approach.  The third category is the Value ley and, not surprisingly, they offer good performance at a budget price!

It is worth noting that a number of the Monarch leys benefit from Tetraploid Power. These leys are formulated with a higher proportion of tetraploid ryegrasses and as a result they exhibit some very valuable characteristics. Tetraploids have a higher concentration of water soluble carbohydrates (sugars) so livestock will find them sweeter – and as a result their forage intake should increase. Tetraploids are also large seeded which leads to faster establishment and their deeper root systems are able to search out available moisture and soil nutrients.
